McLean Asphalt was founded by Michael Travers in 2009. Michael grew up in Fairfax County and spent a decade working for a regional commercial paving contractor before going out on his own. He started with residential driveways in McLean and Great Falls and built the business one referral at a time.
Today McLean Asphalt serves homeowners, HOA communities, and commercial property managers across all of Fairfax County and the surrounding areas. We are not a large franchise and we do not run an army of subcontractors. Every crew on your job is our team, and Michael still personally reviews estimates for new construction and commercial projects.

We give you a written quote before any work starts. What we quote is what you pay. We do not add charges after the job is done or recommend unnecessary work.
Every residential driveway gets 3–4 inches of hot-mix asphalt on a compacted stone base. We do not cut corners on thickness or base prep — that is what determines how long the pavement lasts.
We leave your property clean and accessible at the end of every work day. No debris left on the driveway, no equipment blocking the street overnight without notice.

We come out to your property, assess the existing surface, take measurements, and discuss your options. Most residential estimates are done in under an hour. No charge, no commitment.
We send you a written quote with a clear scope of work, materials spec, and final price. No vague "around" estimates — you know exactly what you are getting and what it costs.
Once you approve the quote, we schedule your job. For residential driveways, most jobs are completed in one day. Commercial projects are scheduled to minimize disruption to your operation.
When the job is done, we walk the site with you, explain the curing timeline, and answer any questions. The area is left clean. You can drive on the new surface in 48–72 hours.
